In our present day and age, infographics are the de-facto method of communicating information to audiences in a visual format and are present in many formats ranging from bus-stop ads, social media content, app interfaces, and more.

Understanding how to create Infographics enables you to unlock a whole host of creative possibilities when presenting information in various formats – from creating more engaging presentations, to crafting stunning and unique EDMs, or even developing attention-grabbing posters and print materials.

Design Intuitive Infographics Like a Pro with Microsoft PowerPoint is developed to equip participants with the know-how to create an array of easily understandable, professional, and engaging Infographics in just 2 days.

This workshop introduces participants to the concept of an Infographic and provides on clarity on commonly utilized types of Infographics and their key characteristics, while also introducing them to commonly made Infographic design mistakes and how to avoid them.

Participants will be introduced to the key tools, functions, and resources used by professional designers to create Infographics, and will learn how to harness them to create an array of Infographics through hands-on activities. Participants will also gain insight on the key observations a professional designer makes when examining Infographics, equipping them with the acumen to create their own unique Infographics beyond this workshop.

Course Outline

By the end of this 2-day workshop, learners will learn how to

  • Recognise the distinctive traits of various types of infographics and select the appropriate infographic to use based on informational needs
  • Apply the appropriate slide size to create infographics for different content sharing platforms
  • Create an array of professional infographics in PowerPoint using a tried-and-tested design framework
  • Develop structure within blank presentations and understand the components in an infographic
  • Beautify infographics by selecting the right typeface and creating a cohesive colour composition
  • Apply typographic formatting to present text in a succinct and professional manner
  • Select appropriate media asset resources to visualize infographics professionally
  • Save created infographics in different file formats for various content sharing platforms

This course is recommended for executives and managers who need to create infographics / presentations in an infographic format to effectively engage and persuade stakeholders, clients, and public audiences

PRE-REQUISITES

  • Participants are required to have a laptop with Microsoft PowerPoint installed
  • Participants are recommended to have the latest version of PowerPoint or Office 365 installed
  • Participants may also use older versions of PowerPoint, although they might not have access to certain features covered during the workshop
  • Participants are recommended to bring a mouse and charger for face-to-face workshops
  • Participants should at least have a basic understanding of PowerPoint
